Owner of Labyrinth Overland

Lee Waldman

Lee is the kind of guy who can talk shop for hours with anyone who’s built an interesting rig—and if there’s a dog to pet and a cold beer in hand, you’ve probably just made a new friend.

Originally from England, Lee spent 19 years working as a Chief Engineer aboard luxury superyachts, eventually earning the highest international marine engineering certification. That role demanded deep technical expertise, long stints offshore, and the ability to keep complex systems running flawlessly in high-pressure environments for demanding guests with high expectations.

In his time off, Lee turned his attention to the outdoors—first building a custom camper trailer, then a Ford Transit van to explore North America. After covering serious ground in Canada, Alaska, the U.S., and Baja California, he set his sights on a more capable platform: a truck camper that could reach the hard-to-get places while still offering comfort and reliability.

That pursuit led to the founding of Labyrinth Overland, where Lee now applies his engineering background and love of refined builds to create high-performance campers in the heart of Colorado’s Western Slope.

Whether you’re after a turnkey expedition rig or a shell to start your own journey, Lee brings the same level of detail, care, and systems thinking to every project—backed by years of experience in some of the most demanding environments on earth.

Lead Assembly Technician

Madi Gleckler

Started her craftsmanship by learning woodworking from her dad and grandpa. With a few years of practice in woodworking, she was able to fully build out her own adventure VW Westfalia. She fell in love with this experience and began working for a company in Colorado, where she built out camper vans. She acquired additional skills while working for this company and refined her sewing skills. She specializes in sewing cushion covers, curtains, outdoor wear, outdoor gear, and clothing alterations. Life has led her to Labyrinth Overland, and she is thrilled to utilize her building, fabrication, and sewing skills for luxury truck campers.

Luxury Comfort Consultant

Heidi

With over 8 years of experience evaluating every vehicle that’s ever been built around her, Heidi takes her role seriously—especially when it comes to quality control from the comfort perspective.

While a lack of opposable thumbs has hindered her fabrication career, Heidi excels in other critical areas: cuddles on demand, moral support during late-night builds, and keeping team spirits high. She’s been part of Labyrinth Overland from the very beginning and remains an essential member of the crew.

If she greets you with a tail wag, consider yourself approved.
